Whistling Straits Country Club is a 36-hole public golf facility located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The facility has two championship 18-hole golf courses. They are, The Irish Course and The Straits Course.
Whistling Straits Country Club, The Irish Course opened in 2003. The course was designed by Pete Dye.
Although The Straits Course is the flagship course at Whistling Straits, the Irish Course is rated more difficult to play as it is trouble-filled with forced carries, gnarly rough, ponds, streams and ravines, and numerous large waste bunkers tht are minimally maintained to let the elements shape and reshape them.
The Irish Course, is an inland grass-and-dune layout. It is a par-72 layout that plays to 7,201 yards from the back tees. The course rating is 75.6 and the slope rating is 146.
The Irish course is just inland from the great lake and interspersed by four meandering streams, the grassland-and-dunes aspect of the Irish Course is a deceivingly tranquil landscape. Both traditional and memorable, the Irish Course is full of unique challenges.

Not quite the views of its sister course, Whistling Straits, but with the same shot values. Play with a caddie for a real old world, links experience. Great place to go with a special foresome for a memorable round of golf, whatever you shoot. Saves you the transcontinal flight to Ireland/Scotland.

Great course but on the expensive side or would play more often.
